Whitney Buildings was founded in 1995 in Chouteau, OK. The
principle behind the idea to begin a steel building manufacturing
company was to develop a company that was locally owned and
operated in the Northeast Oklahoma area to serve Northeastern
Oklahoma and the immediate surrounding states. Since it’s
inception Whitney has developed into a multi-million dollar
company providing custom, pre-engineered steel buildings to
a variety of markets. Our projects have ranged from simple
garage facilities, full scale shopping malls, to large industrial
facilities with multiple overhead cranes and loading facilities.
Whitney is located in Pryor, Oklahoma on ten acres with
18,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity with direct
access to major north-south and east-west highways, indirect
access to Georgia Pacific railway and a very suitable
technical work force to support a growing manufacturing
company.
Whitney Manufacturing uses the latest available software
from Metal Building Software as it’s primary design, engineering
and manufacturing tool. This tool allows us to pre-engineer
each building with a comprehensive set of interpolation data,
engineering drawings, engineering analysis and engineering
certification ( as necessary ). This tool also assures our
customers that we comply with AISC and MBMA design and manufacturing.
In addition, the MBS software has a complete database for
nearly every building code used in the United States and it’s
corresponding engineering and design specifications.
We have developed a streamlined manufacturing process with
multiple quality control checks throughout that are compatible
with the AISC certification process and substantially complies
with all of the AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.2 standards. Currently we
procure the majority of our building systems components from
MBCI with Whirlwind Building Systems as our secondary
provider. As I am sure you are aware, these companies comply
with substantially all of the AISC and MBMA standards as they
relate to producing cold rolled steel products for steel
buildings.
Finally, our manufacturing staff has over fifty years of
combined experience with erecting and manufacturing steel
buildings and over the last eight years has manufactured over
seventeen hundred pre-engineered steel buildings. In 2004
we designed and manufactured 275 buildings. We are the CONTRACTORS
CHOICE for pre-engineered steel buildings.
